BMW SAME DAY ECU Unlock (2020+)

Protocol One Engineering provides a controlled, in-house ECU unlock solution for late-model BMW platforms.

All procedures are performed internally by our engineering team.
No external handling. No third-party processing. No offshore involvement.

This service enables unlocking of post-06/2020 locked BMW ECUs, allowing full compatibility with leading calibration platforms including:

• MHD / MHD+
• bootmod3 (BM3 / BM3 REV2)
• MG Flasher
• ECU TEK
• Femto Flasher
• Other compatible flashing tools

Once unlocked, there are no limitations on platform capability, including:

• Flex fuel integration
• Port injection (PI) integration
• Advanced CAN-based systems (e.g. Reflex setups)

This service is strictly focused on ECU unlocking.

• Removal of factory-imposed ECU restrictions
• Preparation for aftermarket tuning platforms

Not Included:

• Custom tuning or calibration
• Software licenses (MHD, BM3, XHP, etc.)

Support is available following completion, including:

• Platform selection guidance
• Software setup assistance
• Initial flashing support

Key Information

Do I need to bring the vehicle?

No. In most cases, supplying the ECU alone is sufficient.

What changes after the service?

The ECU becomes fully unlocked and accessible for supported platforms, including MHD, MHD+, BM3, BM3 REV2 and others.
Flex fuel and port injection integrations are fully supported where applicable.

Is this a tuning service?

No. This is a preparation step that enables tuning. Calibration and software are separate.

What if the ECU is re-locked?

If the ECU becomes re-locked due to a dealership software update or similar event, Protocol One will restore access remotely or in-store at no charge.
