MINI SAME DAY ECU Unlock (06/2020)

Protocol One Engineering provides a controlled, in-house ECU unlock solution for late-model MINI platforms.

All procedures are completed internally at approved locations.
No shipping. No third-party involvement. No external processing.

This service is designed for post-06/2020 locked MINI ECUs, enabling full calibration access through supported platforms including:

• MG Flasher
• Other compatible flashing tools

Once unlocked, the ECU supports full platform functionality, including:

• Flex fuel integration (where applicable)
• Advanced calibration control
• Full compatibility with supported tuning platforms

All services are strictly by booking and performed in controlled workshop environments.

Customers may attend with:

• Removed ECU, or
• Complete vehicle (location dependent)

Service Timeframe

Most ECUs are completed within:

30–60 minutes (on-site)

Time may vary depending on ECU type and vehicle configuration.

Scope of Service

This service is strictly focused on ECU unlocking.

Included:

• Removal of factory-imposed ECU restrictions
• Preparation for aftermarket calibration platforms

Not Included:

• Custom tuning or calibration
• Software licenses (MHD, BM3, XHP, etc.)

Support is available following completion, including:

• Platform selection guidance
• Software setup assistance
• Initial flashing support

Key Information

Do I need to bring the vehicle?

No. In most cases, supplying the ECU alone is sufficient unless otherwise advised.

What changes after the service?

The ECU becomes fully unlocked and accessible for supported tuning platforms, allowing flashing, calibration adjustments, and advanced feature integration.

Is tuning included?

No. This is an unlock-only service. Tuning software and licenses are sold separately.

What if the ECU is locked again?

If the ECU is re-locked due to a factory software update or similar event, Protocol One will restore access remotely or in-store at no charge.
