The Bootmod3 License enables OBD flashing, datalogging, map switching, and full calibration control for supported BMW vehicles using the Bootmod3 platform.

This license is required before any BM3 tuning can be performed.

🔧 Requirements

To use Bootmod3 you will need:

• Compatible BMW vehicle
• OBD ENET cable or BM3 wireless adapter
• Mobile device or laptop
• Unlocked ECU (required for MG1 / MD1 vehicles)

All required hardware can be supplied and configured on site.

Q: Is the license transferable to another car?
A: No. The license is permanently linked to one VIN.

Q: Does this include custom tuning?
A: No. Protocol One Engineering does not offer custom tuning.
This service provides the Bootmod3 license and platform setup only.

Q: Can I flash the car myself after setup?
A: Yes. Once installed, you can flash OTS maps, datalog, and switch maps using the BM3 app.

Q: Do I need an ECU unlock first?
A: Yes for MG1 / MD1 ECUs (2020+). An unlock must be completed before BM3 can flash.
